The gender star creates space in language for all genders.

In our society, women, men, trans* people, and non-binary people often have different levels of power and opportunities. This affects who receives help and who does not. We use the gender star to break down discrimination and barriers. Our services are open to everyone.                            

The Hamburg Family Planning Center (FPZ) is an independent, nonprofit organization and a central resource for family planning, pregnancy, sexuality, and contraception in Hamburg. We bring together counseling, information, and medical care under one roof—including for people without health insurance.

Our services include confidential counseling on pregnancy, abortion, contraception, childbirth, parenthood, and sex education. In doing so, we fulfill our legal mandate under the Pregnancy Conflict Act and promote sexual and reproductive health in Hamburg.

We advocate for the right to self-determined sexuality and family planning. Our work is based on the values of diversity, solidarity, responsibility, and gender equality, as well as sexual and reproductive human rights. We are also committed to ensuring medically safe, non-discriminatory, and low-threshold access to abortion.
